So yeah, the stoneage series Mechwarrior is getting a reboot, IGN have a video and an interview, havent read the interview, why? Because the game looks fucking boring.
Just go watch the video and try to tell me you liked that.
There's a reason why I like power-armors like the ones in Section 8: The power of a tank combined with the mobility of a human = awesome. If Section 8 will be good or not I have no clue, depends on how fast players move.

THAT video was poop. Watch THIS video and tell me that game looks boring!
This video (in-game footage, wow) shouts volumes to me that this reboot is made by people who played and loved the original games and wanted to flesh out the way the fans of the old series percieved the universe and still bring in enough new players to make some money.
I'm excited about it, really excited about it.

Actually I seem to have linked to the wrong video (which is strange as I havent even seen the video I linked to...).
The correct link is the one you linked, which still is boring as hell.
The gameplay seems slow and the selling point of the game seems to be "be big, shoot missiles, cant dodge for shit." Not very fun.
