Back in 2008 (May/June?) a group of us had nothing to do for a weekend and decided to do something fun together and at the same time throw something together for the SGA. The result was Which Witch is Which.
Of course we didn't win anything as we spent a weekend on the game, and another week of not quite as hardcore coding just cleaning some stuff up.
It was primarily developed for the local arcade machine (a PC in a fancy casing), where coop is king and controls very limited.
A while back I got the source code from one of the other coders who actually take care of their stuff, and yesterday I compiled it for the first time. And it worked. I've made some minor changes to get it to be easier to develop for, but nothing major.
I don't have any specific goal with reviving the game, but I hope to have some fun playing around in the code base. The first thing I will have a look at is the horrible control, and after that there might be some feature creeping (some sort of single player challenge mode would be cool. Or power-ups!). I have no plan for any of the development, just doing what I feel like, and I'm also quite busy at work now so probably won't have that much time free. Basically we'll have to see what happens.
Currently I'm trying to set up a svn repository over at assembla. Never really done anything like this so we'll see how it goes, or if they are any good. If you want access to the repository, sign up and let me know, and I'll add you! Happy random feature creep day!
